  I'm interested in how the ordinary people lived, rather than monarchs, battles and politics.

  What shapes the land, how, where and why settlements develop and decline.

• Archaeology
  This ties in with my interest in history.

• Environmental Issues
  I believe we should live in harmony with the environment, we should do nothing which leaves it in a worse state than we found it, and we should try to correct the mistakes of the past.

• Alternative Technology
  Using technology in an environmentally friendly way.

• Psychology & Artificial Intelligence
  I'm fascinated by the mechanisms of human thought, and how they can be applied to or simulated by computer software.
